Pear Anode

Product Description

Pear Anode
SKU:EYE-Null1

Anode – Pear 2.1kg. Pear-Shaped Zinc Anode is a sacrificial anode designed to protect metal components of marine vessels from corrosion, particularly in saltwater environments. Its pear-shaped design ensures optimal surface area coverage, enhancing its effectiveness in cathodic protection. When installed on a vessel’s hull, the zinc anode undergoes controlled corrosion, thereby protecting the boat’s metal parts from deteriorating. This process, known as cathodic protection, is essential for maintaining the integrity of metal components exposed to harsh marine conditions.

Installation:

Preparation: Ensure the hull surface is clean and free from debris at the intended installation points.

Alignment: Position the anode so that the fixing holes align with the pre-drilled holes on the hull.

Attachment: Secure the anode using appropriate M10 bolts, nuts, and washers, ensuring a tight and stable fit.

Inspection: Regularly check the anode for signs of wear and replace it when more than 50% has corroded to maintain effective protection.

Key Features:

Material: High-grade zinc, suitable for saltwater applications.

Weight: 2.1 kilograms.
